  1. Short:    Xfig v1.10b - a structured drawing tool. 020+ & MUI

  6.  This is an Amiga port of an X11 structured drawing tool  that lets the user
  7. interactiely create and manipulate on objects such as lines/circles
  8. rectangles/splines/text and other elements.

  10.  Xfig can produce output in several different formats: Encapsulated PostScript, 
  11. IBM-GL (HP/GL), Pic, PiCTeX, LaTeX, box, epic, eepic, eepicemu, textyl, tpic, X11 Bitmap,
  12. X11 Pixmap and gif.
  13.  
  14. This is the binary part of the program. Examples and docs are in xfig_docs.lha
  15. If you have a key-file you'll also need the transfig and fig2dev programs
  16. that are in xfig_support.lha. An update to fig2dev has been uploaded along
  17. with xfig10. (fig2dev_upd1.lha)

  19. Also get the pstoedit2.lha which will convert postscript files (not all) into xfig
  20. editable files.

  22. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  23.     
  24.   Amigas with 68020+ OS3.0+ and MUI 2.0+, and a big Workbench (640x400 minimum) is needed.
  25.   Also 4 mb of ram may come in handy..

  28. 1.10b:
  29.   It appears I added some popup help texts on the buttons. Can't imagine why..
  30.   When using the program on a public screeen most windows ended up on the workbench.
  31.   (also when you move xfig to a public screen with PSI the colors won't be right until
  32.    you start it the second time.)
  33.   Values joinstyle/capstyle wasn't read correctly from the interface.
  34.   Arcs with wide lines didn't look too good. Ellipses with wide lines probably didn't work
  35.   either.
  36.   Added miter and round joinstyles.

  38. 1.10:
  39.   Enforcer hit if doing keyboard-input when none is expected. (XPutBackEvent not working)
  40.   Added some thick line support in LibX11.
  41.   Arrow types wasn't read correctly from the interface.
  42.   Added help popups.
  43.   'more options' and 'other options' windows had the same id.
  44.   Apparently fig2dev wasn't too able to cope with thick lines.

  46. 1.9d:
  47.   It turned out that the _t was used when outputting combined ps/LaTeX to insert the
  48.   correct name of the ps file in the latex output by removing the _t from the file.
  49.   The pstex_t extention had become pstext_t.
  50.   Added a test on filled polygons to turn it off if it gets too big.
  51.   alt generated character wasn't possible.

  53. 1.9:
  54.   Export to "Combined PS/LaTeX (LaTeX part)" didn't work. (well, it did but filename had
  55.   to have _t at the end for some reason)
  56.   Special text/Hidden/Rigid buttons wasn't checked.
  57.   The font cycle gadget wasn't changed when specifying -latexfonts
  58.   LibX11 now recognizes Italic/Bold/BoldItalic fonts.
  59.   All file requesters use different buffers.
  60.   Automatic extension on export filename.
  61.   Dashed/Dotted lines looks better now.
  62.   'Corner radius' wasn't a slider when editing arc-boxes.
